The objective of the Agricultural Water Management Planning Program is to provide technical, financial and administrative assistance to the Agricultural Water Management Council and to the water districts throughout the State to develop Water Management Plans and to help implement cost-effective Efficient Water Management Practices.

The Council responsibilities and the Agricultural Signatory responsibilities and Environmental Signatory responsibilities are outlined in the Agricultural Memorandum of Understanding. The Purposes of the MOU are to provide a comprehensive guidelines for water management plan preparation and implementation of cost-effective EWMPs, analyzed through a Net Benefit Analysis.

The council signatories are: Group 1 - Agricultural Signatory List, Group 2 - Environmental Signatory List, and Group 3 - Other Interested Parties Signatory List are listed in the MOU.
